Microcement Ready Base 10 kg

Microcement Ready Base 10 kg. Ready Base is the first coat of the Ready system: it levels, reinforces and prepares the surface for the finish. A 2-in-1 ready-to-use, polyurethane-based microcement in a 10 kg tub.

Coverage of this tub

Manufacturer's coverage (per coat) 12,5 m² with this tub
With 2 coats 6,25 m² with this tub
On floors (2,5-3 kg/m²) 3,3-4 m² with this tub

Coverage on a well-prepared surface. The better levelled and prepared the substrate, the further it goes.

How to apply

  • Apply in 2 coats with a steel trowel, 1 mm maximum each, sanding each coat with 40 grit.
  • It is the essential coat on hard substrates: tiles, render or marble. On plasterboard or plaster, Homecret kits go straight to the finishing coat.
  • On floors, allow for higher consumption: Homecret recommends 2,5 to 3 kg per m², above the manufacturer's theoretical minimum.

No mixing with resins and no pot life: simply add the pigment, stir until uniform and apply. Close the tub tightly and it keeps for your next application.

What else you need

  • Microcement Pigment: 25 g per kg of microcement. For this tub, 250 g.
  • Bonding Primer on the substrate before the first coat.
  • Sealer and Polyurethane Varnish to protect the finish.

What it's for

  • Floors, walls and ceilings, indoors and outdoors; furniture, worktops and renovations over existing tiles without removing them.
  • Bathrooms and shower trays (does not darken with water). Not suitable for swimming pools or continuous immersion.

Key technical data

  • Compressive strength: over 27 N/mm² (class C30)
  • Indoor air quality: A+ (low emissions)
  • Suitable for underfloor heating (wet and electric systems)
  • Resistant to water under pressure: no penetration at 5 bar for 3 days

Storage

In its original sealed container, between 10 ºC and 30 ºC, in a dry, ventilated place. Best used within 6 months of the manufacturing date.
